As mentioned in previous posts the outdoor experience is very much a part of what we do. With a good weather forecast and tide times this morning we spent a couple of hours on a very quiet Climping beach.

The children had great fun digging channels and exploring textures, otherwise known as getting wet (we had plenty of dry clothes with us and all wet clothes were returned laundered tonight). After snack time in the sunshine, some admittedly a little crunchier than usual, the children created their own rock pool.

John was on hand to give them a brief (thankfully) lesson in hydro dynamics and the gravitational influence of the Sun and Moon on the tides. This was then explored through a bit of wave jumping before returning home for lunch and afternoon garden play.
